Overview
This 3,000 s.f. 2-story residence is designed to fit into its narrow site while maximizing both interior and exterior space as well as privacy. The design consists of two building masses, one containing the main house and the other garage, exercise, and a screened porch space. The buildings, combined with a limestone privacy wall, form a private courtyard which adjoins the major living spaces.
The simple gabled roof form of the main house is sculpted to allow for dormer style windows on the second floor and to create covered porches on the ground level.The buildings are finished in corrugated galvanized metal siding punctuated at points by limestone.
